Assam CM slams Rahul Gandhi, calls his protest as " Naxalite Tactics"
A clash broke out in Assam's Guwahati on 23rd January during Congress's Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra headed by Rahul Gandhi. Congress workers broke the police barricades, allegedly deviating from the approved route and raised anti BJP slogans which led to a lot of chaos and commotion in the city and during all this Rahul Gandhi could be seen merely standing at the top of a bus and watching all this happen. Rahul Gandhi magnified the issue by taking free publicity in all these protests.
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma slams Rahul Gandhi for the protests made by the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on the outskirts of Guwahati City and calls it "Naxalite Tactics". He also asked the Director General of police to take action against Rahul Gandhi and register a case for manipulating and provoking the crowd.

Your unruly behaviour and violation of agreed guidelines have resulted in a massive traffic jam in Guwahati now." "With reference to wanton acts of violence, provocation, damage to public property and assault on police personnel today by Congress members, an FIR has been registered against Rahul Gandhi, KC Venugopal, Kanhaiya Kumar and other individuals...," Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on X on Tuesday.
District Congress Committee President Gundlakunta Sriramulu in return slams the Assam Government for resisting senior leader of Congress party Rahul Gandhi to visit Sri Shankar Dev Satra temple in Haiborgaon, he refers this act as stripping away an individual's right of freedom and indulging in religious practices.
Indian Youth Congress President BV Srinivas shared a video of this on his X handle. The Congress party also staged a protest at the Gandhi statue near ITI circle.

Karnataka Congress workers held a massive rally in Bengaluru
After Rahul Gandhi was resisted from entering Guwahati city in Assam during the Manipur to Mumbai, Karnataka Congress workers held a massive rally in Bengaluru. The protesters came out on the streets with fire torches and raised slogans against the Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah said such attacks will not stop Rahul Gandhi and his Yatra. He writes, “Himanta's plan to use state resources to arrest them will not deter Shri Rahul Gandhi. The Yatra for justice shall continue.”

Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra set to enter Bengal
The Congress 'Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra,' led by Rahul Gandhi, will now head towards West Bengal from Assam on Thursday. After a two-day hiatus on 26-27 January it will cross Jalpaiguri, Alipurduar, Uttar Dinajpur, and Darjeeling districts before entering Bihar on 29th January. The Yatra is scheduled to enter West Bengal through Bakshirhat in Cooch Behar district in the northern part of the state on January 25.
Mamta Banerjee to fight the Lok Sabha elections alone
Recently Mamata Banerjee announced that her party Trinamool Congress will contest the upcoming Lok Sabha polls independently in West Bengal.
