Padma Awards 2024 has been declared- here is the list of all the awardees

On the eve of Republic Day 2024, Padma Awards 2024 has been released by the centre. The Padma Awards are India’s highest civilian honors to, "recognize achievements in all fields of activities or disciplines where an element of public service is involved,” the Padma Awards website said. Here is a list of the Padma Awards: Padma Shri, Padma Vibhushan and Padma Bhushan.

  1. Parbati Baruah - First female mahout in India
  2. Jageshwar Yadav - Tribal welfare worker
  3. Chami Murmu - Tribal environmentalist
  4. Gurvinder Singh -  Differently-abled social worker
  5. Sathyanarayana Beleri -  A rice farmer from Kasargod, Kerala
  6. Sangthankima -  Social worker from Aizawl
  7. Hemchand Manjhi - A traditional medicinal practitioner
  8. Dukhu Majhi - Tribal environmentalist from West Bengal
  9. K Chellammal - Organic farmer from South Andaman
  10. Yanung Jamoh Lego - East Siang based herbal medicine expert 
  11. Somanna - Tribal Welfare Worker from Mysuru, Karnataka 
  12. Sarbeswar Basumatary - Tribal farmer from Chirang District in Assam
  13. Prema Dhanraj - Plastic surgeon (reconstructive) and social worker.
  14. Uday Vishwanath Deshpande - International Mallakhamb coach
  15. Yazdi Maneksha Italia - Renowned microbiologist
  16. Shanti Devi Paswan & Shivan Paswan - Globally recognised Godna painters
  17. Ratan Kahar -  A Bhadu folk singer from Birbhum in West Bengal
  18. Balakrishnan Sadanam Puthiya Veetil - A Kalluvazhi Kathakali Dancer practicing the art for over 60 years.

  23. Narayanan EP - Veteran Theyyam Folk Dancer from Kannur
  24. Bhagbat Padhan - Sabda Nrutya folk dance artist from Bargarh, Odisha
  25. Ashok Kumar Biswas - Prolific Tikuli painter
  26. Sanatan Rudra Pal - Renowned sculptor with experience spanning five decades.
  27. Badrappan M - Valli Oyil Kumi folk dance artist from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu
  28. Jordan Lepcha - A bamboo craftsman from Lepcha tribe in Mangan, Assam.
  29. Machihan Sasa - Longpi potter from Ukhrul in Manipur. Spent five decades to preserve the traditional art of pottery.
  30. Gaddam Sammiah - Chindu Yakshaganam theatre artist from Jangaon, Telangana.
  31. Jankilal - Behrupiya artist hailing from Bhilwara in Rajasthan.
  32. Dasari Kondappa - Burra Veena player from Narayanpet, Telangana
  33. Babu Ram Yadav - Brass Marori craftsperson
