Nitish Kumar resigns as Bihar Chief Minister, for a new alliance He submitted his resignation to Governor Rajendra V Arlekar and asked him to dissolve the existing government INDIA bloc. He has switched sides to the Bhartiya Janta Party. Nitish Kumar has severed ties with the grand alliance in Bihar and has joined the National Democratic Alliance led by Bhartiya Janta Party.
Aarvind Kejriwal on the upcoming Lok Sabha elections
Aarvind Kejriwal, Delhi Chief Minister at a press conference said that his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar did wrong by exiting the INDIA bloc. He further added that his conduct is not good for democracy. Aarvind Kejriwal addresses a public meeting in Jind on 28th January where he clarifies that Aam Janta Party will fight the upcoming Lok Shabha elections in alliance with INDIA but for the assembly elections we will contest alone on all 90 seats of Haryana by itself. He further added that people of Punjab and Delhi are happy with the work of his party. He slams the political party that has even ruled in Haryana that they have only gathered money for their next seven generations and did nothing for the people. Punjab Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Bhagwant Mann had also clarified earlier that there will be no alliance with Congress for the upcoming Look Sabha Polls in Punjab.
The Trinamool Congress convener and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamta Banerjee have also announced that her party will contest in the upcoming Lok Shabha elections alone by itself.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on 29th January expressed his views on the upcoming Lok Shabha Polls that this is the last opportunity to save democracy because Prime Minister Narendra Modi might bring dictatorship if he wins the upcoming elections. He further added that Modi's rule in India will be similar to that of Putin in Russia in case he wins. He urged the citizens of India to beware of the futile and manipulative ideologies of BJP and RSS because they are like poison.
Congress government led by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy launches six new schemes
The Congress government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy launched the first guaranteed Mahalaxmi Scheme bus service for women according to which women of all ages and transgender can access state transport services free of cost in the Palle Velugu and Express. The government also launched the Rajiv Arogyasri Scheme that provides an amount of 10 lakhs worth of medical services. The other four schemes are also promised to be implemented soon by the Telangana government. Schemes like Gurha Jyothi Scheme that will provide up to 200 units of free electricity to eligible consumers from the second week of February. The farm investment support scheme Rythu Bharosa will be implemented according to which 15,000 rupees per acre will be given to each farmer. Indiramma Indlu Scheme will be soon under implementation, the families that do not own a house will be provided a site and 5 lakhs for assistance to build it for the eligible people. The Cheyutha Scheme will provide a monthly pension of 4000 rupees to senior citizens, widows, and people with disabilities.
