Upcoming Lok Sabha Polls
The Samajwadi Party has declared a list of candidates for 16 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Shabha Polls.
In an announcement on Saturday (Jan 27), Yadav shared in a post on X, "Our cordial alliance with the Congress is off to a good start with 11 strong seats. This trend will move forward with the winning equation. ‘INDIA’ team and ‘PDA’ (Pichhda, Dalit, and Alpsankhyak) strategy will change history."
Here is a list of all the 16 candidates along with the region from where they will contest for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls. The list comprises 11 OBCs which include 4 Kurmi, 3 Yadav, 2 Shakya, 1 Nishad and 1 Pal. It also includes 1 Muslim, 1 Dalit, 1 Thakur, 1 Tandon and 1 Khatri candidate.
1. Dimple Yadav, wife of Samajwadi party Chief Akhilesh Yadav will contest for the upcoming elections from the Manipuri seat. The Manipuri seat was led by the former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav and founder of the Samajwadi party.
2. Shafiqur Rahman Barq, the oldest parliamentarian will contest from Sambhal in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
3. Ravidas Mehrotra, present MLA from Lucknow Central will be representing Lucknow Lok Shabha seat.
4. Akshay Yadav will be contesting from Firozabad for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls. He is the son of SP leader Ramgopal Yadav.
5. Lalji Verma, present SP MLA of Katehari in Ambedkarnagar district will represent the party as a candidate from Ambedkarnagar parliamentary constituency for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
6. Dharmendra Yadav will be contesting from Badaun parliamentary constituency.
7. Ramprasad Chaudhary will be fighting for the upcoming Lok Shabha elections from Basti. Earlier he was a member of the Bahujan Samaj Party, but after getting expelled from there, he joined the Samajwadi party.
8. Devesh Shakya will contest for the upcoming Lok Shabha elections from Aita.
9. Aanand Bhadoria will represent Dhaurahra in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
10. Anu Tandon will fight the upcoming Lok Shabha elections from Unnao.
11. Utkarsh Verma will represent the Samajwadi party as a candidate from Kheri for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
12. Rajaram Pal will contest from Akbarpur for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
13. Shivshankar Singh Patel will fight the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls from Badan.
14. Avdesh Prasad will contest for the Lok Sabha Polls from Faizabad for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
15. Ramprasad Chaudhary will represent the Samajwadi party as a candidate from Basti for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.
16. Kajal Nishad will contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls from Gorakhpur.
