Prime Minister Narendra Modi handed the first-ever "National Creators Award" on 8th March at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi

The first-ever "National Creators Award" was held on 8th March at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi and handed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The award seeks to recognize quality and impact in a variety of industries, including gaming, education, storytelling, and environmental sustainability. It provides a forum for leveraging creativity to encourage constructive changes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared pictures of Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi in a post on X that read, "National Creators Awards honour the creativity and innovative spirit of our youth. It acknowledges their unparalleled contributions across diverse fields, celebrating young minds who dare to think differently and pave new paths. I congratulate all the awardees!"s

Twenty categories were included by the awards: best storyteller, disruptor, celebrity creator, green champion, best creator for social change, most influential agriculture creator, cultural ambassador, best travel creator, swachhta ambassador, new India champion, tech creator, heritage fashion, most creative creator (male and female), best creator in the food category, best creator in education, and international creator award. In 20 different categories, more than 1.5 lakh nominations were submitted. Following that, about 10 lakh votes were cast for digital creators across a number of award categories throughout the voting stage. 23 winners were then chosen, three of them were foreign creators.

 Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister said Digital India Mission has created a new world for content creators. He further added, "This might have happened for the first time that youngsters in any sector have inspired the government to think about them, to do something for them. Together, we should start a 'Create on India Movement'. Let us share stories related to India, India's culture, India's heritage and traditions with the whole world. Let us create in India, and create for the world."

  • Kamiya Jani - Favourite Travel Creator
  • Drew Hicks , Kili Paul, Cassandra Mae Spittmann - Best International Creator
  • Maithili Thakur - Cultural Ambassador of The Year
  • Jaya Kishori - Best Creator for Social Change
