Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stones of multiple development projects worth 32000 crores
On 20th February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid foundation stones of multiple development projects worth over Rs 32,000 crores and inaugurated three new campuses of IIMs in the country, IIM Jammu, IIM Bodh Gaya and IIM Visakhapatnam in Jammu. The Prime Minister dedicated and officially opened multiple projects totaling around Rs 13,375 crores, laying the groundwork for a major advancement in the nation's infrastructure for education and skill development. In addition, he will officially open 20 new Kendriya Vidyalayas (KV) and 13 new Navodaya Vidyalayas (NVs) around the nation. Additionally, it states that Prime Minister Modi will dedicate one NV campus, five multipurpose halls for NVs throughout the nation, and five KV campuses.
The sectors related to the projects in Jammu and Kashmir include health, education, road, rail, aviation, petroleum, and municipal infrastructure, to name a few. He gave appointment instructions to around 1500 newly recruited Jammu and Kashmir government employees. As part of the "Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu" campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with recipients of many government programs. The beneficiaries who spoke with him articulated the advantages of government programs in a clear and concise manner, which he commended.
The permanent campuses of IIT Bhilai, IIT Tirupati, IIT Jammu, and IIITDM Kurnool; the Indian Institute of Skills (IIS), a cutting-edge facility for advanced technology skill development situated in Kanpur; and the two campuses of Central Sanskrit University, situated in Devprayag (Uttarakhand) and Agartala (Tripura), are among the projects devoted to the country.
At Jammu Airport, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation for a new terminal structure. The new terminal building, which will occupy 40,000 square meters and have contemporary amenities to accommodate 2000 people during peak hours, will be constructed. The freshly electrified Baramulla-Sringar-Banihal-Sangaldan segment (185.66 km) and the new rail line connecting Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan (48 km) is dedicated by the Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the country. The first electric train in the valley is also inaugurated by the prime minister, along with train service between Sangaldan and Baramulla stations.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also laid the foundation of several significant road projects during the program, including the construction of the Kulgam Bypass and Pulwama bypass on NH-444, the second phase of the four-laning of the Srinagar Ring Road, five packages for upgrading the 161-kilometer Srinagar-Baramulla-Uri stretch of NH-01, and two packages (44.22 KM) of the Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway connecting Jammu to Katra. Additionally, the he also laid the foundation for a project to build a petroleum store in Jammu known as the CUF (Common User Facility). At an estimated cost of Rs 677 crore, a state-of-the-art fully automated depot with a storage capacity of about 100,000 liters will be built. It will be used to store products such as motor spirit (MS), high speed diesel (HSD), superior kerosene oil (SKO), aviation turbine fuel (ATF), ethanol, biodiesel, and winter grade HSD.
Road projects, bridges, grid stations, receiving stations, transmission line projects, common effluent treatment plants, sewage treatment plants, multiple degree college buildings, the Intelligent Traffic Management system in Srinagar city, the Modern Narwal Fruit Mandi, the Drug Testing Laboratory at Kathua, and transit accommodations—224 flats at Ganderbal and Kupwara—are among the projects that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated.
